چکیده

A weighted graph is one in which every edge e is assigned a nonnegative number, called the weight of e. The weight of a graph is defined as the sum of the weights of its edges. In 2-edge-colored complete graph, by using Ramsey-type theorems, we obtain the existence of monochromatic subgraph which have many edges compared with its order. In this paper, we extend the concept of Ramsey problem to the weighted graphs, and we show the existence of a heavy monochromatic subgraph in 2-edgecolored graph with small order.

Constructive Quasi-Ramsey Numbers and Tournament Ranking

A constructive lower bound on the quasi-Ramsey numbers and the tournament ranking function was obtained in [S. Poljak, V. Rödl, and J. Spencer, SIAM J. Discrete Math., (1) 1988, pp. 372–376]. We consider the weighted versions of both problems. Our method yields a polynomial time heuristic with guaranteed lower bound for the linear ordering problem.

On weighted Ramsey numbers

The weighted Ramsey number, wR(n, k), is the minimum q such that there is an assignment of nonnegative real numbers (weights) to the edges of Kn with the total sum of the weights equal to ( n 2 ) and there is a Red/Blue coloring of edges of the same Kn, such that in any complete k-vertex subgraph H, of Kn, the sum of the weights on Red edges in H is at most q and the sum of the weights on Blue ...

Zarankiewicz Numbers and Bipartite Ramsey Numbers

The Zarankiewicz number z(b; s) is the maximum size of a subgraph of Kb,b which does not contain Ks,s as a subgraph. The two-color bipartite Ramsey number b(s, t) is the smallest integer b such that any coloring of the edges of Kb,b with two colors contains a Ks,s in the rst color or a Kt,t in the second color. In this work, we design and exploit a computational method for bounding and computing...

A Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm for a Possibilistic Open Shop Problem to Minimize Weighted Mean Tardiness and Weighted Mean Completion Times

We consider an open shop scheduling problem. At first, a bi-objective possibilistic mixed-integer programming formulation is developed. The inherent uncertainty in processing times and due dates as fuzzy parameters, machine-dependent setup times and removal times are the special features of this model. The considered bi-objectives are to minimize the weighted mean tardiness and weighted mean co...

Capacity Inverse Minimum Cost Flow Problem under the Weighted Hamming Distances

Given an instance of the minimum cost flow problem, a version of the corresponding inverse problem, called the capacity inverse problem, is to modify the upper and lower bounds on arc flows as little as possible so that a given feasible flow becomes optimal to the modified minimum cost flow problem. The modifications can be measured by different distances. In this article, we consider the capac...
